About DriveInstead

DriveInstead is a website dedicated to road trips and all kinds of travel off the beaten track.

We are a group of travel nuts who like nothing more than getting in the car and heading for the horizon.

We started DriveInstead in January 2023 - the website is still new and we are adding as much content as we can as quickly as we can so please bear with us.

Over time we want to share the best driving routes and itineraries, insider tips for road trips across the United States and the world and share our love and passion with you.

We will add detailed road trip plans, share useful insight, and answer as many questions as possible - if you think we really need to answer a question we haven't got to yet, please let us know!

Our Big Plan

While sharing our thoughts and information is where we're starting, that is just the beginning of our journey.

Having done a road trip or two ourselves, we have realised there is a big gap in tools and apps available for people to plan and manage their road trips.

We're hoping to plug that gap and provide amazing online tools letting you seamlessly plan your trips, customize them, save and share them, and even book things like hotels along the way, car hire, and more - all through the same app.

The idea is that you can then take the app with you and use it as a seamless guide giving you all the tips and directions while you're on your way.

As we've only recently started work on the website, this is going to take us a bit of time so please do bear with us - hopefully we'll get there soon!
